You can contact your family doctor, (your G.P. ) in the first instance and make an appointment to see the midwife. If you experience any problems contacting a midwife you can contact your chosen maternity unit for information.

By Metro: The nearest Metro station is Haymarket. On foot from Haymarket, either walk through the university campus, or up St Thomas Street, until you reach Queen Victoria Road.

By Bus: The nearest bus station is Haymarket. On foot from Haymarket, either walk through the university campus, or up St Thomas Street, until you reach Queen Victoria Road.

Car Parking: We have a ‘pay on foot’ multi-storey car park at the RVI which is easily accessible from Queen Victoria Road.
Pay and display parking is also available on the RVI site outside the main New Victoria Wing, Emergency Department and Dental Hospital.

Disabled Parking: Disabled parking is available free of charge for Blue Badge holders in designated ‘disabled’ spaces in our hospital car parks.

Park and Ride: Available from Regent Centre, Gosforth. Parking is £1 per day. Bus number 46 calls at Haymarket, RVI Leazes Wing and Campus for Ageing and Vitality. 20-minute journey time to the RVI.
